Emma and Bryan :: Seacrest Beach Destination Wedding

Hello faithful blog readers! The 2010 wedding season has ended and I’ve been working super hard, editing all of the beautiful weddings that I was honored to photograph this year.

Emma and Bryan were married at the Reunion House in the Fall. Their story is a bit unique and I wanted to tell you all about Emma and Bryan’s journey to their dream beach wedding. Emma contacted me last year and I was technically over my limit of the number of weddings I should really shoot in a month for Emma’s wedding date. But, I just couldn’t say no to this one! Emma and Bryan were to be married at a beautiful beach ceremony in the Dominican Republic. The day before the wedding, with all of their friends and family on the island, ready for their big day… Emma and Bryan were involved in a boat accident that resulted in some injuries that required surgery and a long recovery for Bryan. Bryan had to be transported back to the US for treatment, so their beach wedding ceremony never took place. Emma’s father told me that Emma considered doing the ceremony in the hospital but that he told her that her wedding should be everything she dreamed of and that they would make sure that it was. So fast forward a few months and this sweet couple completely reconfigured their plans for a stateside beach wedding here in beautiful Seacrest Beach.

Their wedding was emotional, fulfilling, and joyous. Their friends and family were an amazing bunch and Emma’s dream of a wedding ceremony with her toes in the sand came true. Jessica from Serene Occasions handled the details and made sure that Emma’s day was completely stress free. Before Emma’s wedding, I had not had the pleasure of working with Pascalli Foods, who catered the wedding. Well, lets just say that the day after seeing them prepare and enjoying their absolutely fantastic food, I called every wedding planner I know and told them they MUST check out Pascalli’s if they haven’t already heard of them. They served an Italian style feast and even the smell emanating from the kitchen was enough to make me drool. Following the wonderful dinner, Chuck Lawson kept the party going and the couple’s guests obviously had a wonderful time.

Emma and Bryan: Congratulations to both of you and best wishes for a long, fun, and injury-free marriage 🙂
