Jamie and Logan are coming allll the way from Missouri for their May 2010 wedding in Destin. They really loved the look of Watercolor and Alys Beach, so we checked out all the cute spots there and they got a nice little tour of 30A in the process. Check out the gorgeous brown eyes on these two!

erica: i feel like i've commented on photos of this couple before... am i losing my mind??? well, the photos are beautiful, well done!

I was so excited to meet Tiffany and Alan last month! What an awesome couple. Tiffany works hard in a childrens ER and Alan does… a lot of things, I lost track of all the ventures he has! We spent some time wandering around South Walton’s cutest neighborhoods and I’m just so glad that Tiffany and Alan made the trip down here before the wedding. I encourage everyone to visit ahead of their destination weddings if at all possible. It gives us a chance to get some great engagement photos and get to know each other before the big day. Not to mention it often means getting to explore places they may not have known about or visited before! This area is full of neat people and places and sometimes it really takes leaving the beaten path to see the real depth of all the beauty here.

Tiffany and Alan’s wedding will be coming up in September at Sandestin Resort.

erica: um, those like rock. seriously. she's gorgeous.

Carolina and Michael came out to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach a few weeks ago for their engagement session. I hadn’t met Michael before the day of the session so I had no idea how cute these two were together. We spent more time laughing during the few hours they were with me than I’ve laughed in a whole month!

Carolina and Michael are getting married in June in Destin at Corpus Christi Church and having their reception at Rutherfords 465. I’m placing my bets on their wedding way too much fun!

Here are 20 of my favorites from their engagement session.

MIA

April 29, 2009

I just found out that I need to bring my computer in for servicing *today*!

This means I may be slow on the emails and a little late on anything that may have been expected by this weekend. So if you need to speak with me, please call my cell phone at 850-974-7907. The repairs should only take a day or two, but they are on my main business computer, so I may be MIA the next couple of days. I don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself!

I met Amanda and her awesome mom Kim early last fall and knew immediately that Amanda and Brian’s wedding would be fabulous and totally relaxed. With the help of Bella Flora, Amanda and Brian’s wedding went off without a hitch at the amazing Atypical beach house in Grayton Beach. Amanda, who was a positively beautiful bride, and Brian hosted their family and close friends for a beach wedding and courtyard reception with delicious food and a close-knit atmosphere. Fatty Patty’s provided the super cute cupcake tower and a cool ping-pong table grooms cake! I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with these two families and hope they continue to spend their most memorable days on our gorgeous beaches. Thank you Amanda, Brian, and your wonderful family and friends!

I’m so excited about this session! Sarah went to highschool with my husband and a mutual friend referred her to me for her upcoming wedding. Adam and Sarah totally rocked this session for me. We shot these around noon at Eden State Gardens and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Boardwalk Beach Resort next month!

I had a rough time picking just a few to show off, so I loaded the rest up into a slideshow for you to watch. It’s my first blog-slideshow so bear with me while I attempt to get these to the point of perfection as they’re quite flat and fuzzy in this one for some reason.

If you want to see all of the images in the slideshow individually, click here!!

Sarah Estep: Candice you are the best!! These turned out better than I could have even hoped for. We are so excited that you are going to be photographing our special day and are fortunate to have found such a talented professional as yourself. Thank you for making this an easy and magical day for us!

Johnson Family

April 6, 2009

Oh how I loved these little girls!! Really, they were so cute and sweet. The Johnson family visited the Sandestin Hilton and hopefully caught a few minutes of sunshine and beach time in a really rainy week. It was a beautiful day on the South Walton beaches with a beautiful family and I think the pictures speak for themselves! Thank you Johnson family… it was a pleasure.

Cindy: Beautiful! I love #2. Very dramatic.

MixMingleGlow: Candice, Amazing job on these! What a fun venue to shoot! I especially love the cute happy blonde. I know everyone goes for the dramatic, serious, emotional shots, but sometimes there is nothing like a big smiley happy bride! :) Great job!

pure 7 studios: candice, these are super cool & awesome! xoxo erica

I’m such a bad blogger!

Well, we’ve been deep in the off-season here in Florida, so there has not been much going on. Starting this month though things should start getting busy!
In the meantime I managed to take off for a week to Las Vegas at MGM and attend WPPI which is the most amazing convention for wedding and portrait photographers from all over the world. The tradeshow was HUGE and I checked out all the awesome products available to offer my clients. I really enjoyed the classes as well, especially the class Jerry Ghionis taught on posing. He’s a phenomenal photographer and very entertaining teacher. The parties were a blast too! We spent the nights hopping from one party to the next. Becker hosted a super cool party in the Real World Suite at the Palms. We had a great time and met so many great photographers.

On Tuesday a group of us from the [b] school followed our fearless leaders, Chris and Allie, to the Neon Boneyard. Chris and Allie put together an awesome group of models, made sure they had clothes to wear, makeup and hair done, and organized all 35+ of us for the shoot. It’s probably going to take me two posts to blog my favs from the shoot! The boneyard was so cool… All the old signs collected from Vegas landmarks in one place. Check out the shots and tell me which one is your fav!

In no particular order…
