Sara and Kris were married at the Seaside Chapel amongst their closest friends and family. Sara’s hair and makeup (which looked stunning!) was done by Jessica of Make Me Blush. With help from Shelby Peaden, Sara planned a beautiful reception at Draper Lake following the ceremony. The amazing floating dock hosted their cocktail hour and the dinner reception was nearby on the butterfly green under a tent filled with beautiful flowers and wonderful food by Celestine’s Special Occasions. Sara and Kris added some cute touches like the personalized t-shirts that they gave each guest with a special Peanuts comic on the back and a midnight snack of donut holes and little milk shooters! The kids table with children’s meals in beach pails and a stockpile of art supplies and bubbles was a huge hit. Everyone had a great time celebrating and I’m honored that they chose me to photograph their wedding. Congrats to you both!

Mari Darr~Welch: Very beautiful work as usual!

Sara: Gorgeous! I love that table shot. All pretty though.

Laura and Josh were married in a beautiful destination ceremony at the lovely Bentley’s on the Bay. I just loved the soft white and light pink colors along with a touch of feathers that Cari Degregorio put together for Laura’s floral designs. And oh my… those hydrangea bouquets… I’ve never seen anything like them! They were so perfect, full, and white. A Bride’s Ride helped Laura and Josh find the perfect getaway car. This antique Packard has the sweetest owner/driver and he takes great care of his sweet ride. Laura and Josh’s 65 guests dined on yummy food from Sugarcane Catering (everyone loves the tuna by the way <wink>)and treated to a wedding cake from Confections on the Coast. For a little fun, the couple provided custom printed sunglasses for the guests to wear during the reception. The entire day was wonderful and I couldn’t ask for a sweeter couple. birmingham_wedding_photography

Wedding season is officially in full swing!

First up on the blog this year are the lovely Laurie and Julian. This sweet couple was married at Rutherfords 465 in Regatta Bay. Their ceremony took place outside in the lawn area. Laurie’s black, white, and red vision was beautifully executed by Brandi of Your Aisle Awaits and Florals by the Sea. The Cake Destination made the polka dot wedding cake and orchestrated the color coordinated candy bar which was a huge hit with the guests! I had a great time spending the day with Laurie and Julian’s families and capturing beautiful images of their celebration along the way. Congratulations Laurie and Julian!!

erica: lori.. you were a beautiful bride! this is erica (swope) from middle school and high school! :) you were lucky to have candice as your photographer.. she did an amazing job!!

Laurie: Hey Erica how are you? It's been a long time, thank you for the comment. Are you still in the Destin area?

Wow!! Business has been awesome this year. God is SO good. Things have been insanely crazy and busy. Blogging is really unfortunately the last thing on my priority list. That’s going to change next year though. Plans are to get some help and hire someone to take some of the load off my shoulders. Next year is already over halfway booked up for weddings. If you are considering contacting me to be your wedding photographer, do it now! There are only a few dates left. Also, I expect prices to rise quite a bit very soon.

2010 will be here in just a little over 30 days. I’m looking forward to the upcoming season and can’t wait to get some time on my hands so that I can blog some of the amazing sessions and weddings from 2009.

Speaking of 2010… Devon and Sean will be celebrating their wedding day in March of 2010. Like a lot of destination wedding couples, they managed to come out for a quick planning trip and we squeezed in an engagement session amongst all the other appointments and fun planning adventures they had arranged. I just love these two. They have a love for theater and of course each other. Devon is full of energy and oh so stylish. Sean is the strong, silent, and incredibly sweet kind of guy. They will be hosting their event at a beach home in Miramar Beach. For their engagement session, we made a stop at a local playground for a few minutes and caught some moments while they hung out on the swings, then we made our way over to the beach, but not before stopping in front of one of the great coastal dune lakes here in Walton County. Here are a few images that Devon and Sean selected as their favorites… hope you enjoy them! If you do, leave me some comment love <3

Destin and South Walton Wedding and Beach Photography: [...] may remember Devon and Shaun from their engagement session last November. Well their big day went off without a hitch a few weeks ago! A lovely beach house, [...]

I had a blast shooting a Day After session for Allie and Chase. Day After and/or Trash the Dress sessions are something I encourage all my couples to consider. We have plenty of time to get all the fun shots we didn’t have time for on the tight wedding day schedule. Day after sessions can be done literally the day after or years after for that matter! If you’re a couple who perhaps did not get the wedding day photos you dreamed of, this is a great way to have a do-over on the photos. I think day after sessions are great for first anniversaries too.

Here are just a few from Allie and Chase’s day after session. Allie also chose to take a dip in the Gulf in her dress!

Ashley Green: Beautiful! Great Job!!!

Francesca Messore: Pictures came out gorgeous!

Will Estell: Awesome work! You def capture the moment. Hope to get some of your shots in GULF COAST BRIDE and reaching more destination brides very soon.

Carolina and Michael came out to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach a few weeks ago for their engagement session. I hadn’t met Michael before the day of the session so I had no idea how cute these two were together. We spent more time laughing during the few hours they were with me than I’ve laughed in a whole month!

Carolina and Michael are getting married in June in Destin at Corpus Christi Church and having their reception at Rutherfords 465. I’m placing my bets on their wedding way too much fun!

Here are 20 of my favorites from their engagement session.

AmyQ: Love that last one Candice!

MIA

April 29, 2009

I just found out that I need to bring my computer in for servicing *today*!

This means I may be slow on the emails and a little late on anything that may have been expected by this weekend. So if you need to speak with me, please call my cell phone at 850-974-7907. The repairs should only take a day or two, but they are on my main business computer, so I may be MIA the next couple of days. I don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself!

Cindy: Beautiful! I love #2. Very dramatic.

MixMingleGlow: Candice, Amazing job on these! What a fun venue to shoot! I especially love the cute happy blonde. I know everyone goes for the dramatic, serious, emotional shots, but sometimes there is nothing like a big smiley happy bride! :) Great job!

pure 7 studios: candice, these are super cool & awesome! xoxo erica

Mathew Camferdam: I have been to your site before. Beautiful boudoir model. BTW you have a georgous blog
